Lots of movement on this line. Healey now -250 over guy who just made finals. Healey is Aussie journeyman. This is one of those "funny" matches that happen from time to time. Wouldn't surprise me to see Koubek take the dive.

GD, yep, this smells.

Healey was a +170 DOG (at one point, don't knwo what the line opened at) and now -240 fav??

why would pinny even open this line back-up? they had if off then posted it back. It's off at a number of other books.

this is no good for the game

I took Healey earlier at +169. I've just taken Koubek at+231.

The winner of this game will face James Blake. Apparently, Koubek has lost on purpose before to avoid a tough next round match. I'm assuming this is the reason for the line. Either way, I'm not gonna get screwed on this one. If you've taken Healey, then go and get a slice of Koubek and save yourself any regrets!

Rhino,
Just hope they finish the match and there is no retirement. I like your chances at those numbers.

Thanks mate. I've had terrible luck today though. I bet against Schriaphan. He was down a set but retired. I bet against Nadal at +781 only for him to retire. Also, had a great bet on Bourgeois against Moya at +920, only for him to lose in the last set on the tiebreaker thanks to a poor second serve.

Tennis dogs were terrific last week, and they really should have made me alot this week but unfortunately those two retirements may have cost me quite a bit.

Damn, those suck.
Nadal/Kuznetsova/Hewitt all shaping up as Aussie Open fades.
Good idea to bet first ball on those possible retirements due to injuries.
I also saw Fat Serena barely escaped.

Last year against Wesley Moodie, Koubek opened as a decent favorite in Moscow and Moodie ended up closing at over -720 on Betfair. The winner played Federer in the next round...Here, you got Koubek coming in straight from travelling and no time to properly prepare for the new conditions, expect a tank job, but not betting it...

Good list there GD.

Kuz bronchitis, I guess she quit as a precaution, as did Nadal (or maybe Rafa realized he wasn't gogin to break Chris.....:puppy: )

you guys going to share your plays next week?

rhino, I also was screwed by the Nadal retiring (had Chris +4.5,crap)

Jankovic and Peer are out of skin at the moment

Sounds like a good idea. Any suggestions of the best books that offer first ball?

Thanks

This Guccione kid has been pure money! Should continue to ride the streak as his odds should still present great value in the coming week. I really think he had a great chance to defeat Nadal!

I'm not too sure how many of them are real injuries with Aussie Open coming up ;)

Add Serena as well, that cow ain't goign anywhere. Lucie was +6.5 on the games line today and like an idiot, I didn't bite.

she lost serve SIX times today --good grief

notice how she went to Hobart this week instead of Sydney.....:puppy:

Davydenko also on the hurting list, wouldn't be surprised to see him retire or bow out early in prelims.

I would have blood on my hands with the Healey money, it is sickening.
